The World’s Fastest Growing Country
On the occasion of World Refugee Day, in collaboration with UNHCR Spain, we have presented the campaign “The fastest growing country in the world”, a high-impact initiative that focuses on the growing crisis of forced displacement around the world.
Currently, more than 122 million people in the world have had to leave their homes due to conflict, violence or discrimination. If all of them formed a country, it would be the twelfth most populated on the planet, ahead of countries such as Spain, France or Italy.
Under this powerful idea, the campaign is presented as the first tourism action for an imaginary country. Through this metaphor, it seeks to raise global awareness of the magnitude of the humanitarian drama faced by millions of refugees.
Actress Ester Expósito lends her voice and image to the campaign in an altruistic way, the spot, broadcasted on social networks, achieved millions of views in just a few hours with presence on TV, press, outdoor and digital platforms. It also has an interactive web type “tourist portal” where users can learn more about this “country” and collaborate with the cause.
